Your Questions Answered

My Most Frequently Asked Questions

Boudoir photography, for those who have never tried it, can be a scary thought. Many negative thoughts start brewing in women’s minds, all of which can be completely valid. So in order to alleviate any questions that might dissuade you from experiencing such a fun and empowering session, I’ve compiled a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You certainly don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it really depends on your personality and what you feel comfortable in. There are MANY different outfit ideas out there that aren’t lacy, and I’m here to talk you through what’s available and what makes you feel your best. I must say though, all of my clients who have been shy or unsure about how they would look and feel in lingerie always leave feeling amazing, especially when I show them a sneak peek of some of the pictures!

Do you share my images?

Boudoir photography is a very personal, life changing experience, so I understand how private these photos are to each and every one of my clients. Many of my clients are learning to love their body again, or want to celebrate a milestone in their life, or perhaps gift their photos to their partners. These are all valid reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with. Many women end up letting me share a few of their photos knowing that their photos and experiences will inspire others to try boudoir as well!

Do you have payment plans?

Yes! I offer a few payment options. There is a booking retainer to book your shoot and reserve the date. Once we have our ordering session a few weeks later, where you see all of your beautiful photos and choose which package best works for you, we can discuss payment options. We offer 5% off the whole package if you pay in cash, or you can choose a bi weekly or monthly payment plan (up to 6 months). I’ll make sure to work with you on what best fits your budget.

Do you Photoshop my images?

I meticulously hand edited all of your photos myself to make you look like the most beautiful, powerful, and glowing version of yourself!

Is hair and makeup included?

All of my clients love it when they come in, the morning of their photo session, as they are, no makeup or hair did. That’s totally fine, because part of this boudoir photography experience is get all made up! Hair and makeup with a professional HMUA is complimentary as part of your session. You are already beautiful, but we will pump up the volume and make you feel like a goddess!

Where should I buy outfits?

There are a few places where you can buy outfits, and it depends on what you feel best in, and the style of your shoot. Here is a list: Svage X Fenty, Fleur de Mal, Victoria’s Secret, Forever 21, Adoreme.com, Torrid, Eberjay.com, Aerie, hipsandcurves.com. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know and I might know where to get it!

What type of print products do you have?

I offer a variety of album sizes, from 6x6 all the way to 12x12. You choose everything from size, cover, material, edge gilding and obviously all of the beautiful photos of yourself! There is nothing like picking up and seeing a physical print of yourself in all of your glory, it’s truly surreal! I also offer wall art from 8x12 inches up to 30x40 inches (and bigger if you want :) These can come in a mounted print (think framed print with glass), metal in glossy or matte, and canvas. I also offer add-ons like a retro viewfinder and photo folios and keepsake boxes.

Do you offer digitals?

All of the collections include some sort of print product, but there is also an A La Carte list, and a digital only menu that you can choose from as well!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Trust me, it’s absolutely normal for you to experience some nerves, it’s all part of the fun! I promise that once you see yourself all made up, and see a sneak peak at some photos, you’ll nerves will melt away. Plus, I’m also a therapist, so I will walk you through everything to ensure you feel comfortable and that you’re having fun!

How many outfits should I bring?

I would say it’s good to bring at least 5 outfits, but lets talk through your vision and see how many outfits you want to try! The more the better!

Where is your studio located?

My studio is located in between the Pilsen and Chinatown neighborhoods, on the corner of Cermak and Lumber Ave, only 1 block away from I-90 and I-55!
